From the artist:
"A celebration of womanhood & motherhood for Mother’s Day or any day of the year that you want to honor the mother figure(s) in your life.
Not all women who celebrate and are celebrated by their loved ones are mother's biologically, and I wanted to capture that in this drawing.
This drawing is inspired by Michelangelo’s famous “The Creation of Adam” painting found on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel... You know the one, where God's hand is reaching out to Adam.
I decided to recreate this, with God’s hand as that of a woman’s. Not necessarily a mother, but she could be, or a favorite aunt, that loving grandmother, an older cousin you admire, or your best mom friend. Adam's hand is that of a child stretching for that maternal comfort from the woman and mother figure in their life."
