October 29 | Botanical Bliss: A Natural Dye & Bath Bomb Bundle Workshop

If you've ever wanted to learn more about the magic of plants and herbs and their uses in our daily life, join us for an afternoon of ~botanical bliss~! Learn how to use plants found in our very own Sonoran Desert to dye fabric with Elana, create your own botanical-infused bath bomb bundle with Teryn, and warm your soul with a selection of delicious herbal teas!

1 PM -  Elana will lead us in the art of bundle-dyeing to make silk bandanas using dye plants most commonly found in the Sonoran Desert. Bundle dyeing is the art of wrapping plants in fabric and steaming to create mottled, beautiful prints. She'll also share information on each plant we work with and tips on ethically foraging for them.

2 PM - Teryn will help you choose three custom bath bombs at the Remedes + Richewels bath bomb bar. You'll choose from four different collections: intentions, chakras, zodiac, and moonlight, to make your own bundle of three bath bombs that will get wrapped up in fabric. You will also choose a small dried floral arrangement to accompany the bundle!

While you craft, chat, and learn, snack on the cutest tea sandwiches and sip on botanical hot tea in a personalized mug!

What you'll leave with:
  • One 21" x 21" 100% silk scarf
  • Three Remedes + Richewels bath bombs & mini dried floral arrangement
  • Personalized mug
  • A few surprises!
Meet the Maker:

Elana Bloom (she/her) - Elana is a fiber artist who creates vibrant dyes using invasive, ornamental, and native species of plants found throughout the urban wilds of her Tucson neighborhood. In her creative practice, she uses naturally dyed fibers to create imaginary mixed media art and wearable pieces such as garments, fiber jewelry, and silk scarves. Her favorite plant to work with is eucalyptus bark, both for the scent and the color.

Teryn (she/her): Teryn is on her personal mission of supporting people in their efforts to impact society and the environment in an uplifting way, through personal balance and wellness. She believes in the holistic approach to health and wellness; healing the mind, body, and spirit. Teryn encourages creativity and loves to be a part of growing passions and visions. She is an advocate for collaboration, supporting local communities, and conscious consumerism.

As the founder and owner of remedes + richewels, it was important for Teryn to incorporate practices that have been beneficial in her own wellness journey. Challenges with mental health and an auto-immune disease have allowed her to see wellness through many different angles. The brand is truly a lifestyle; every part of it is built upon intention and relating. The acknowledgment that everyone has their own stories, rituals, and remedies is deeply woven into the framework or remedesrichewels

Teryn finds her sources of inspiration in her everyday life. As a woman owned and operated business she is in constant awe of the vital support she receives from the women she is surrounded by. She is grateful that she found a creative and genuine community in Tucson to build her business in.
