Prickly pear is provison's signature blend. Building it with quality and consistency in mind, Provision Coffee chooses coffees based on seasonality, relational sourcing, and how well their individual characteristics work together to create our desired profile. They roast each coffee individually, allowing for optimal flavor, and carefully blend thereafter.

The result is a blend that is sweet, balanced, and works well on all brew methods: espresso, drip, cold brew, pour over, and more. The core notes defining prickly pear are that of sweet stone fruits, caramelized sugars, and rich chocolate.

About the Maker 

Provision started in 2011 with the idea of bringing the stories of smallholder coffee producers to coffee buyers and drinkers. They wanted to have fully transparent buying practices, and through that vision Provision grew into a coffee roaster, wholesale, and retail company. Their goal was, and remains, to make coffee approachable for all people. They continue to be quality focused, with the emphasis on longevity, commitment, and sustainability. Through this vision, they have their mission statement: “To build community through quality coffee, food, and drink.”
